Hi Drew,

Your locks survived a car rollover. The locks did not fly open and the surfboards remained in place, but there was some abrasive damage to the cables. I love these cable locks. They are so much easier to use then regular tie-downs and of course so much more secure. How can I replace the cables? Do you offer diferent lengths and how much are they.

I don't have to worry about straps stretching or knots coming untied while cruising down the highway. I used to have to do a hand check on the boards at every toll stop to make sure they were secure. With your locks I can buckle them down and forget about it till we get to the beach. We also love the freedom to get something to eat without worrying about the safety of the boards. And last but not least, the excess cable holder is excellent.

Everyone survived the rollover in pretty good shape, by the way.

Thank you again for a great product.

Arden *, FL

TIPS, INSTALL PROCEDURE, FAQ's:

Adjust cable length: Press BLUE button on cover and open cover fully .
Pull cable to adjust length.

Locking to Car Roof Racks. Loop the cable around load as shown and hook "T" (9') or "ball" (13') into slot in cover.
Pull loose end of cable to tighten around kayak or canoe snugly.
Close cover. This will further tighten cable around load.
Spin the combination to lock and prevent combination from being exposed.
Clip excess cable in blue clips on lock mechanism.

Change the Combination.

Factory setting is 000. Using a small pin, with lock in the fully open position, push in on the "set" button as indicated. While holding the "set" button in, change the numbers to your spceific combination as desired.

When done, release pin. After securing load, turn the numbers on the combination lock to prevent combination from being viewed and to secure the lock.

When wrapping the cable around the item to be locked, set it up so that you will pull the cable toward you to tighten it as shown in diagram above.

As with any combination lock, take care when changing the combination.

NOTE: ** The combination can not be recovered if you make a mistake. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THIS SITUATION. Use care when changing the combination.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will the cable blow out of the clips at high speeds?

In years of testing on windy roads we have never seen it happen.

Will the cable damage the object to be locked?

The cable tension is easily adjusted. Sharp corners that are easily damaged should be protected. Surfboards or windsurfers should be carried bottom down.

Can the combination be changed without the user knowing?

The combination can only be changed when the numbers are in the open position.

Always spin the numbers to prevent this.

What if the cable is damaged?

Replacement cables are available and are easily changed.
